Who we are
J/TWO is the trading name of JTwo Digital Solutions Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17485018). We are the controller of the personal information described here. You can contact us about privacy at [email protected].
What we collect
When you send an enquiry, we collect:
- your name and email address
- your phone number, if you choose to give it
- your message, and the topic you pick, if any
We do not ask for anything else, and we do not buy contact lists. You don’t have to give us your details, but we need at least your name and email address to reply.
When you visit the site, our hosting provider processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. The website currently does not include a standalone analytics script. If we introduce one, we will update this notice to explain it.
If you call, email or message us on WhatsApp instead, we use your number, email address and messages in the same way, to reply to you. WhatsApp messages are also handled by WhatsApp (part of Meta) under its own privacy policy.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a call. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. If you ask for a proposal, it is also to take steps at your request before entering a contract.
- To keep the site secure and working. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a safe website.
We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to, and we never sell them.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of providers to run the site and handle email. They act on our instructions and may only use your information to provide their service to us:
- Cloudflare (website hosting and security)
- HubSpot (receiving and storing website enquiries and contact details)
- Microsoft 365 / Outlook (business email and HubSpot submission notifications)
We may also share information if the law requires it.
International transfers
Cloudflare, HubSpot and Microsoft may process information outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where required, international transfers must be supported by safeguards permitted under UK data protection law. We will keep this notice updated to reflect the arrangements used by our providers.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- If you become a client: for as long as we work together, then 6 years for legal and tax records.
- Technical logs held by our hosting provider: for the short periods set by that provider.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies, so you will not see a cookie banner. Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell people from bots. During our private beta, the login screen also sets a cookie that keeps you signed in. Strictly necessary cookies don’t need consent.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you
- correct it
- delete it
- restrict or object to how we use it
- move it to another provider, where that applies
Your right to object. Where we rely on our legitimate interests, you can object at any time, and we will stop unless we have a compelling reason to continue.
We do not make decisions about you by automated means, and we do not profile you.
Email [email protected]. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
